  Fathers day was a full day for us. We had a big lunch with our neighbors and visited most of the afternoon. Then my daughter and I left the house around 7pm to visit friends across town. My son stayed home and played his computer game.  My daughter and I returned home around 10:30pm.  As soon as I got home I ran downstairs and put a load of colors in the washer.  The kids and I then got online together and entertained each other with YouTube.  I had lost track of time and suddenly realized it was after 12:30am and I still needed to throw my clothes in the dryer.  I asked my daughter to run downstairs for me.  She did, and a couple of minutes later I hear, "Mom?  Did you just come down here with bare feet?"  My son and I were still in the livingroom playing videos. I answered, "nooo, why?".  She said, "Because, there are wet footprints down here.  I think you had better come here."  Me and my son then hurried to the staircase and my daughter says, "They weren't here when I came down.  I know they weren't."  We climbed down the stair case and sure enough, there they were.  I was really taken back for a moment.  I was trying to rationalize this in my head.  I was looking at 2 fresh wet footprints.. bare footprints.. and it was not one of ours.  I immediately walked through the rest of the basement, looking for a broken window, or additional prints, an intruder.. but there was nothing.  No signs of a break in.  No signs of a quick escape.  I told my son to run upstairs and grab a camera.  He came back with my daughters camera and I took some photos of the fresh prints and snapped some photos of the room around us.  I then realized I wanted to be able to send a photo to my friend who had some experience with these types of things and had my son run up for my phone.  These pictures you see are from my phone.  I plan to put the pictures from my daughters camera on here too, but she can't find her usb cable to load them.  They are much more defined.  At this point the prints were drying and not as impressive.   (continued pic II)
