About five years ago a man took a picture in my house. He took it quickly as my Wife happened to be standing no more than 8 feet behind him in a well -lit tunnel. He showed me this picture maybe a minute or two after it was taken.

 He saw this thing, and acted quickly. The object was floating about 2 feet above the concrete floor next to the wall. It was a black "ribbon" that gently, smoothly curved back and forth for a staight-line distance of maybe 30 inches. By the time it terminated to his right , the width had increased to what looked like 3-3.5 inches , starting out from the left of the picture at about 1/2 of an inch.

 So far nobody has been able to explain this object or tell me how he could have faked this in the very short time alloted on his cheap little digital camera.(As my Wife stood right there, she didn't see it. It was not a camera strap.or the shadow of one, the light was wrong for this too..

 This tunnel is not nearly as old as the rest of the house(1865). I built the tunnel 12 to 13 years ago. The tunnel is concrete with re-bar in the walls and at the location of this incident is about ten feet undergound at the floor, the tunnel curves back and forth ahd has a round-topped ceiling all hand-formed and it's floor gradually goes uphill for about 90 feet to make exiting my basement easier that climbing stairs.

 I collected many colorfull, mostly round rocks of all sizes as I dug the trench (by hand), if that could help anyone figure this out?

 I have never had a copy of this photograph. Everyone promises to send me such things , and then they never do.
