Demolition of Haunted High School In Lambertville NJ

Another City Plans To Demolish A Historic School Building Because It's Haunted

This video shows the old, historic, haunted high school in Lambertville, New Jersey, which the city of Lambertville plans to demolish before Halloween.

While the other news story that we reported on with Ohio University's plans to demolish a haunted building is a bit different, what the stories have in common is that when these old historic buildings get a reputation for being haunted, and attracts ghost hunters and curious youth, the cities would rather demolish the history of their city, rather than securing or restoring the buildings.

Good video and story Phillip......kinda get a sad feeling when viewing the video. I have to question as to how it seems all historic buildings get the reputation of being haunted? Where is the proof and altho one never likes to see old buildings with a significant history torn down...I can certainly see why they do. This building by the looks of it ....needs ALOT of work. Like my civil war building I "inherited" upon buying my new home....Im sure they are very concerned with trespassing and such legal issues and economic issues as well....people have no problem with suing when hurt,,,,even if they trespass a posted building. There is no moneys available for alot of great restoration endeavors that used to be no problem. Would love to see a restoration done on this historic high school.....however it may not be feasible. The question as to whether it is haunted reamins just that.....a question. Why would a High School be haunted just wondering? Perhaps only residual sounds? The burden of proof of any "haunting" does not lie with the City of New Jersey. Well maybe they will change their minds and find some groups willing to foot the bill and the liability......couldnt find either for my building so down it comes tommorrow. Maybe the HS will have better luck
